Back to Vegas via Back Arizona

6/30 We left Sedona via 89a going to Jerome a mining town later a hippie colony. We visited a "ghosttown" which is collection of lots of old stuff of varying vintage! Guy is opinionated as well! On to Skull Valley after getting through outskirts of Prescott for a delicious Italian sub! Onward on 96/97 with the cactus to 93 and up to Las Vegas, MGM Grand rm 101 on 16 with great view of NYNY and the strip. Had tranquil wine and cheese with this view after long drive and check in.

Sedona is beautiful but too commercial.We had a hotel room with a beautiful view thank goodness! We drove south over to Cottonwood and latet Montezuma castle and well. Drive back with views to die for and nowhere to stop! Ate at bbq spot, Hog Wild for pulled pork and later PisaLisa. Breakfast at an alien focused place but waitress nice...oatmeal good!

Neil Podkowsky , son of our good friends John and Pat was married at the Nordic Center to Annie Butler, a lovely school psychologist who shares his love of rock music, hikiing and the outdoors. It was beautiful outdoor wedding...many camped at the site that night. Kevin posed with John...Kevin's suit was very popular!  We went to the s. Rim of Grand Canyon on
Sun...picked up Doug and Zoey his daughter from Nordic center, said goodbye to the newlyweds who were headed for a camping trip..on the way up...kind of hot!
