This trip started out in the mountains outside of Cuzco and proceeded slowly down to the Madre de Dios River in the heart of Manu. We had a guide and another guy learning to become a guide who doubled as chef most times. We stopped at basic accomodations with little electric, some with shared toilets etc and last place had no ceiling. We did well , nevertheless. We stopped multiple times and saw about 265 birds. Kevin got amazing photos on his new camera which he will share later. I took photos to give you an idea of the scenery. The next to last one is taken from a raft in an oxbow lake which was propelled by 2 oarsman who also worked the 20 foot riverboat: motorized.
Cannot publish with too many photos so there will be part 2.
