10/2 Salzburg Austria

Spent the day in Salzburg seeing several churches, a museum, and Mozart's home now a museum. Day was sunny and about 70...very pleasant. It was interesting to note that Mozart played the organ at the cathedral which has 4 organs placed high above the chancel. He obsrved that acoustics were superb under the dome but, alas, we cannot be here on sunday to hear for ourselves.
The golden ball is contempoary...Rick Steves theory is that the guy on top is trying to decide if the 10 euro price is worth it to visit the castle on the funicular also in view..we did not go up.  The cemetery provides some interesting views and scenery...the last view of the castle is from our room!
